Ummmm, I'm not the best guy to guide you on Linux matters... Can I ask a
question...?  Is your goal just to send FidoNET Style Mail and or files between
systems, or do you want a dial up node to call out to get mail as needed
through a POTS line.

Currently, the idea of BBSes passing mail via dial up maybe a thing of the
past, just saying.... Everyone is on the Internet Train and there are fewer
and fewer active people on POTS lines.  Now in 2020 programmers cannot make
enough money to support themselves making BBS software ... Anyway... here we
are 2020 and there is no real solution for Dial up mailers written for Linux.
FROM WHAT I CAN SEE.....  Might be a way to scab things together... don't
know.

You mentioned FMail as a mail tosser.  I have used this tosser as a mail
tosser in windows and DOS.  I heard it has a Linux flavor and even better
it's still under development... it also works well with Bink (P)(D), Bink
comes in a Linux flavor so problem solved....

BTW, what BBS package are you trying to run?
