     Title: Jyoti's Fruit Cake
Categories: Cakes
     Yield: 2 Loaves

     1 c  Currants
     1 c  Sultanas (golden raisins)
     6 tb Butter
     1 ts Cinnamon
   1/2 ts Ginger powder
     1 ts Mace
     1 c  Soft brown sugar
     1 c  Water; warm
     3 tb Milk
     2 c  Whole wheat flour
     2 ts Baking powder

 Put the dried fruit, butter, spice, and sugar in a pan with the water
 and simmer gently for 10 minutes to let the fruit swell. Allow to
 cool. Add milk. Now sift the flour and baking powder together and add
 them to the fruit mixture. Pour ito two loaf tins and bake at 350?F
 for 15 minutes and then at 325?F for about 45 minutes. Cool, cut
 into slices, and eat with butter.
