Actually, ZModem was specifically designed to avoid this... perhaps you're
thinking of XModem or YModem (Both have this issue). Now, granted that many
implementations of ZModem are braindead... the one with the version of
HyperTerminal that installs with Windows 98 leaps unbidden to mind
