I think it is a good proposition, so I wanted to share it with my fellow ham
colleagues.
I am sorry that you see it differently!

It is an updated version of the standard DVB-T dongle with amateur features for
twice the price.
As far as I know no other RTL-SDR dongle supports those.

The only other similar product I know of is flighaware (geared towards ADS-B
reception) that comes with a built in LNA for a similar price point.
But it lacks the direct sampling mode that is important for HAM use.
The "normal" SDRs (~10 USD) need a HW modidification to enable direct sampling.

Could you explain to me where you draw the line between "advertising" and
"sharing the excitment for a product that I just ordered myself".

It would also be interesting how others see it.
