He has denigrated the wearing of masks on many occasions. Did you not
listen?

It should not take laws for people to do the right thing.
AT> We have the freedom to take a chance with the coronavirus. The
What you are ignoring with that statement is that it is not just you
taking a chance. Such behavior puts all the people you come into
contact with at risk, some of who are in more vulnerable categories.
AT> president can't actually close the border with Mexico or Canada, so
AT> he's not going to achieve 100% protection from infected foreigners.
It is not the foreigners who are dangerous. It is your neighbors who
allow themselves to be exposed to the virus without adequate
protections.
AT> Americans are spoiled, and they're not going to stop going to Walmart.
AT> Sometimes we forget our masks at home, and when we get to the store, we
AT> will get testy about not being able to enter without the mask.
Without a mask, you should not be allowed into the store. Get testy all
you like, it should not work to do anything other than create a rucus.
AT> I sense that Democrats want to pressure the president into taking

AT> illegal immigrant community.
Those few WWII veterans who are still around are in the high risk group.
They should welcome having the people around them take appropriate
precautions. The community of undocumented people are no different from
the rest of us.
AT> Social distancing? Tell that to the
AT> idiots who are hosting huge parties.
You called them what they are.
AT> Pressuring the president into making executive orders that sound like
AT> authoritarian orders, just so people can say "See? He really IS a
AT> dictator!" it's just not happening.
He has not been shy about making executive orders. But, it would not
take him issuing any order to have a positive effect. It would only
take him publically supporting the things that the scientific community
has said would be effective. The words and actions of a President carry
great weight. If he would only support appropriate actions instead of
denigrating them, things could get much better.
