He can nominate a new justice to the Supreme Court any time he wants.
But is under no obligation to do so.

Nothing. The USSC could have overturned Roe V. Wade long ago
had it wanted to. But Republicans wanted to keep the status quo,
in order to use the issue of abortion as a political weapon.

Being pro-life means from the moment of conception and throughout
life to the time of natural death. I do not see many of those so-called
"pro-life" folks calling for an end to the death penalty, or for all
people to have access to quality health care.
