Thanks. Presidents are only 4-8 years, but BBS buds are timeless.

Here's how I saw the coronavirus unfold in the USA:

A cruise ship full of coronavirus infected Americans needed to dock in the
USA. They docked, and people were treated for the virus on the ship, instead
of them scampering off in random directions.

Congressional Democrats were finishing up their second attempt at
impeaching the president, which led them to a 2nd failure to convict.

Trump soon told all Americans to "stay indoors." Disgruntled failed
impeachment manager Nancy Pelosi got jealous of Trump being president and
telling Americans to "stay indoors," so she gave advice of "don't stay
indoors and come to Chinatown in San Francisco."

Trump refused to wear a mask while giving an address to the people of the
United States. That enraged Democrats. They wanted us to take directions from
Trump looking like Cobra Commander from G.I. Joe. Trump told all Americans
to wear masks when social distancing isn't possible.

As far as I know, the country is still "closed" to foreginers, so at least
we're not (hopefully not) getting more infections from foreigners.

Congressional Democrats stalled the 1st coronavirus relief bill. They wanted
green energy initiatives included in the bill, but Republicans refused to
sign that, because they wanted to help the American people and not be duped by
Democrats.

Now Congressional Democrats (like Nancy) refuse to give the American
people a 2nd stimulus check, which Republicans are ready to hand over,
because the Demcorats are trying to infuse the bill with things that have
nothing to do with coronavirus or economic recovery.

So assuming that the borders are still as closed as possible, I am happy with
Trump's response to the coronavirus.

When asked what he would do different, Joe Biden said he'd sign a "national
mask mandate," making it a police-enforceable offense for Americans to wander
in public without a mask on. I don't think that's a good policy. I like things
the way they are, where people don't have to get arrested for not wearing
masks. After all, arrests are worthless in New York & California anyway.

The coronavirus has been delivered to us from China, and a few other foreign
countries that acted as distrubution specialists. People arriving from foreign
countries don't care about stupid American laws, and they don't obey them.
Some adorable Canadian people probably would obey the rules best they can, but
ask a person from China who just arrived through a Mexican tunnel if they care
about President Biden's "national mask mandate." That person will wear a mask
when they go to the NY DMV to pick up their driver's license, maybe.
