Both Louisiana and Georgia have free college tuition for students.
Why not all other states? These state programs have proven very
popular, and have been in place for decades. Bernie Sanders has
suggested all public colleges and universities should be free, as
taxypayers already pay for them. Should a president make it mandatory
for all colleges and universities to have free tuition? I think it
should remain a state issue, not federal. But that is my opinion.

Let's say you, or one of your kids, wants to go to college but
cannot afford to do so. Your state does not offer free college
tuition, but other states do. Moving to another state would solve
that problem, although one would still have to pay room and board -
which is what dormitories and cafeterias are for.

To get around the out of state tuition problem, all one would
have to do is become a resident of the state. Doing chores in
exchange for a place to stay should do it.

Which brings up an interesting question -

How long does it take to become a resident of a state?

Let's say you move to Louisiana (or Georgia). Then get a driver's
license with your new address as your residence. Does that make you
a resident of the state? Would that be enough to qualify for free
college tuition?

Kids have been doing that for years, in order to avoid having to
pay exorbitant out of state college tuition costs. Staying in a dorm
is much cheaper than renting an apartment. And a meal ticket to eat
at the cafeteria is a lot cheaper than buying groceries.

Come to to think of it, maybe we could find new homes for the
homeless by oh never mind those university professors would not
like that ...
