Hello Everybody,

Elections have been postponed or canceled before.  It happened
in New Orleans, after Katrina, with the mayoral election being
postponed.  And also other places.

If the coronavirus spreads, as is widely expected, to the point
where it becomes unsafe or impractical to hold the presidential
election this coming November, will there even be an election?

What if President Trump is so far behind in the polls that he
has no chance of winning, but he decides to use the coronavirus
as an excuse to cancel the presidential election so that he can
remain in power for virtually as long as he wants?  Can anybody
stop him from doing so?  Just declare a state of emergency,
as the governor of California did, and crown himself king?

Nah.  I think he prefers to be called "pResident" rather than
anything that would remind him of a guy whose real name was King.
