I'm still sorting my thoughts on this.

There have been communities in the past that focused on "simple
software". First of all, I do not yet have a good definition of what
that actually is. Second, these communities/projects are either dead or
they have problematic members.

I have a feeling that we have lost some of these values and the general
way of thinking. One of the results is that I'm getting increasingly
frustrated with many modern software.

I need to come up with a good definition of what "simple software" is.
(And I need a better name, because "simple software" can be abbreviated
to "SS", which, well, yeah, no.)

The whole thing needs to be framed in a positive, welcoming way --
because I think that, in the past, people focused too much on what is
*bad* in *other* software. This leads to elitism and a condescending
tone, which is not a good foundation.
