Last  year, I moved my backup server to ZFS storage. That's great. But
 it's not so great that it runs Arch with its frequent updates.

 Right now, I can't even build the  ZFS  module  (actually,  it's  SPL)
 because  the  build  breaks with GCC 7. It looks like it's easy to fix
 [0], but hey, that's my  backup  server,  I  don't  want  to  run  any
 experiments there.

 Hence,  I'm  now  switching  to Ubuntu 16.04. :/ I thought about using
 FreeBSD, but for maximum compatibility with both ZFS on Linux  and  my
 legacy Linux software RAID, I eventually chose Ubuntu.
