Development of tabbed at the suckless project [1] appears to have come
to a halt. Christoph Lohmann has "left" the suckless project  a  while
back and he appears to have been the main maintainer of tabbed.

tabbed indeed is controversial. Why does this program exist? Why don't
 window managers to this job?

Anyway, I resurrected my tabbed fork [2] because I almost  exclusively
use  lariza  [3] at home now. Actually, there's only one big change in
my tabbed: Tab width is limited and there's no horizontal scrolling. I
find this much easier to work with.

Oh, those crashes I've been seeing with lariza lately? They might have
been bugs in my own code. I'm not certain because they  are  not  real
"bugs"  but  rather API misusage. But it's good news. This means I can
 do something about it.
