 I  haven't  even  finished  reading  it,  yet.  I just came across one
 sentence: The author says, one good reason to learn C  is  because  it
 helps you think like a computer.

 Exactly. That's why I like C. And that's why I, too, think that people
 should have a good understandig of C. After  all,  you  *are*  working
 with  a  computer,  even  if some languages want to make you feel that
 you're not. If things go wrong -- and they do --, I very often find it
 useful to have a better understanding of the computer's internals.

 Many people don't agree, though.
