That  trackball  was  even worse than a mouse. Pain in my wrist and my
arm increased. But it was an interesting experience because I  learned
something:  My  fingers  must move as little as possible -- when using
the mouse. Typing is not a problem.

I now use a Logitech M500. Feels good. It's a laser mouse  and  pretty
precise, I can move it very fast without getting a sluggish cursor.

 Two more things:

o I  ditched  my  mouse pad. It's too much of a restriction. In the
past, I needed the pad because none of my previous  optical  mice
worked on my table. The M500 does.

o I enabled "Emulate3Buttons" -- even though the mouse actually has
three buttons. This is related to finger movement because I don't
have to reach for the middle mouse.
