I can't remember why, but 5 days ago I just started using dwm[1].  Ah,
 yes,  that's  why:  I've  been  playing  with  CDE,   see   entry   on
 2012-09-10[2].   I  realized  that  I  don't  need  all  of  Awesome's
 features. When I started using a tiling WM, I did indeed need them  --
 because  I  wasn't yet used to tiling. I had a different workflow. All
 this has changed.

 dwm has the potential to put an end to my window manager  journey.  It
 does  the job, it's fast and it's stable. It has no dependencies other
 than X11 itself. Its code is a lot easier to understand than Awesome's
 code.

 (Awesome  could  easily  die.  We don't know what the future holds for
 XCB.  Awesome-git is very different from  Awesome-stable,  thus  there
 would  have been a lot of work to port my elaborate configuration once
 the  next  version  is  released.  It's  all  about  complexity.  Kill
 complexity.)
