Thinking  about  replacing  my current monitor (1920x1200) with my old
one (1280x1024). Why? To slow things down. To decrease distraction.

My workflow has changed. There was a time when  I  really  needed  all
that "screen estate". I used to make a lot of 3D graphics back then, I
used to play games and whatnot. Moreover, I didn't use a tiling window
manager  when  I  bought  my  big  monitor -- and so I wasted a lot of
 pixels.

What's the point of having 6 XTerm's open? I only focus on  one  XTerm
at  a given time. Sometimes I open a manpage in one terminal and write
code in a second terminal. But that's it.

The  problem  is:  When  there's   1920x1200   pixels   available,   I
 automatically  use  them.  I  open up 3, 4, 5, 6 terminals. And then I
panic. Whooaa, so many open windows. But  ...  what  was  I  doing  in
terminal number 1? I forgot about it.

Okay,  that's  exaggerated.  But  you  get the idea. My point is: When
there's less screen estate available, I am forced to focus on  what  I
 am doing *right now*.

I'll run 1280x1024 for some time and see what happens.
