  Hey, how's it going?

  Thought I'd write here. Nothing shocking to impart.
  OttawaSystems is mostly organized which is thrilling -- have
  to remind myself we actually have to have the event. The
  first one was such a blast, I have high hopes.

  I started talking to my eldest son again, which is nice.
  Things have been complicated between us for like ... a
  decade now? I hope that it lasts. He's going to be a dad so,
  by extension, I'm going to be a literal grandfather. (My
  stepson has kids, so I've been spiritually a grandfather for
  years).

  I've been doing well but I find I've wrapped a little too
  much of my self-worth up in my job. Mostly that's going okay
  because I'm doing well at work, thanks -- but I know that
  not every work-week is a good one and that tying my mood and
  self-worth into my work is a huge mistake. Feels good on the
  way up, bad on the way down.

  #coworking on town is a nice idea. A place to hang out while
  you work if you don't have chatty colleagues from your job
  or, y'know, your hate your actual coworkers. (Not me!)
