# Things I listen/watch
======================================================================
I listen to my local NPR station mostly on my phone, on my ham radio, and
occationally on alexa.
Every morning and noon I try to tune in to a local ham radio net, just
listening to what people are doing, how they lead there lives. They also
stream the net via internet so I can tune in even without my radio.
### Internet Radio and Podcasts
Of course I listen to [anonradio](
https://anonradio.net/) and
[tilderadio](
https://tilderadio.org/).
I really enjoy [Star Talk](
https://www.startalkradio.net/) by Neil DeGrasse
Tyson and Chuck Nice (Chuck is really funny). I usually just listen from
Youtube on my phone. But it's also on iHeartRadio.

Just found this on HN: [Lofi with great ambient settings](
https://lofi.cafe).

There's a list of [PBS live stream feeds](pbs-streams.html). It's
useful to keep as some background noise when needed.

I found [**Marketplace
Tech**](
https://www.marketplace.org/shows/marketplace-tech/) when listening to
NPR. This is a tech news podcast. Today I listened to AT&T-Discovery deal and
telecom company's struggle in two-front battle of 5G and streaming services. I
might listen more episodes.

Just found [mynoise.net](
https://mynoise.net/) for background noise, no music.
Also the DJ style knobs allow you tweak sound tracks individually or as a
whole. Interesting idea!

Just found [the planetary radio](

Just found [Radio Garden](
https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=30441847). This
is such a cool idea to put radio feeds on google earth!
### Audio Books
I'm a big Asimov fan. Recently I've been listening to Asimov audio books I can
find on youtube. The one I particularly like is "Nemisis". I'm on the second
pass run now. I finished the 8-hour long "The End of Eternity" not long ago. I
tried to do Foundation series but still prefer books better.

Recently I've been listening to William Gibson's **Neuromancer** audiobook as I
wash dishes. The distopian world and retro-futuristic vibe really attracted me.
