Not really. Vaccination is a selfish act.
You vaccinate because you want to be immune yourself. I had never, until 2021, heard anybody say "I
am getting vaccinated so I don't pass the disease to somebody else."
Humans are selfish bastards. A random human does not give a damn if another random human gets
cancer and dies. He may say he does, but he doesn't. There is something in economics called
"revelation of priorities" which basically means that people may say beautiful things such as that
human life is priceless, but when they start expending their money in Bourbon and hookers instead
of lifesaving investments for starving nations they are demonstrating they are full of it.
The idea that people takes a vaccine for protecting others is a propagandistic stunt in my book.
Specially since vaccinated people can still be carriers and spreaders even if the vaccine works as
advertised.
