So, I'm now an accidental admin of a pubnix box.
There's work to revive thunix, so we're seeing how that goes. Myself,
amcclure, and naglfar.
One thing I'm enjoying about this project is my call to use a central
config management solution for it (Ansible). I think it does well to
serve few purposes:
1) If I say "fuck it", and just delete everything, the machine can be
recreated quickly by anyone else. The git repo is there. Just clone, and
run the playbook. Machine is back in business.
2) Allows for easy admin transparency. Everyone can see who did what, and
who approved what.
3) It really makes user requests easy. They can either just open a ticket
requesting the addition, or they can just do their own merge request.
That being said, I did read something about microtildes, that run on rpi's
or CubieBoards. Might toss my solar kit back up, so people can run that.
It should be some good fun, I think. And, I have a domain name and a pi
laying around already, along with the batteries and panel.

Almost forgot. Last night went to a benefit show that was supporting a
local animal rescue. It's funny since it seems most of the metal shows we
go to are benefit shows. Kinda sucks, as that makes it hard for the bands
to make money, but it does show they really do it because they love the
music.
Show was fan fuckingtastic. Loved it. However, made the choice to not
drink while out, and I don't regret it at all. Shows are better when not
drunk lol
