I'm in the process of launching the Buffalo Mesh Net, acting the the
Organizer/Herder of Cats. My personal goals for this project is to get a
wireless network, to cover as much as possible of Buffalo which offers free
internet access (At first) to the public.
Later goals I have for the project is to reduce the need to access the
internet, and to offer internal-only services to the public such as:


       * VoIP services, including public conferences. I would like for this to
serve as the "Community Coffee Shop" or "Neighborhood Barbershop". Social
centers for the neighborhood.

       * IM chat, preferably via a decentralized network of sorts.

       * DFS services (Distributed File Stores), to act as a public file storage
for communities.


We are currently in search of volunteers, and even just users. Head over to
