2023-12-20 - Unreachable

Hmm, it appears from this end, that the gopher server for the
tilde.team is unreachable. Strange, because if i ssh into the
server and open a lynx session there, i can access it fine.
Also accessing it through the http proxy is working fine. Wonder if
this is a misconfiguration on my end. I can access other gopher
servers just fine though.
Anyhow. Again it is the end of december. Time goes very very fast,
yadiyada, the usual stuff.
I found a dvd player in the second hand store, and am occasionally
watching dvd movies from the same store. I buy them for 50 cents
each, watch them, and return them, so somebody else can have a look
at it. Nice to support the 2nd hand store this way, and nice to
watch a movie now and then, without the need for internet or
streaming services.
If i really like a movie i tend to hold on to it for a bit longer.
Recently i watched "Children of Men", with Clive Owen. I remember
watching it, years ago when it came out, and it didn't click so
much with me then. This time, somehow i found the movie much more
intrguing. Although it is a movie from 2007, i found the distopean
depiction of its world set in 2027 quite striking, and eerily
believable.
With some luck i happened to encounter the movie "Pi" from Darren
Aronofsky in the 2nd hand shop last week. Curious how that movie
will be. It has been ages since i saw it. So curious to see if i
like it better as well.
Lets see if the tilde.team gopher server will be accessible again
in a few days. I like accessing it through actual gopher and not
through a proxy :)
