November 2023 update
I sadly haven't updated this gemlog in a long time, but I've
decided now is a great time to do so. I have recently stepped away
from using Haiku OS and instead have been learning Slackware Linux,
which has been both fun and challenging. While I understand that I
don't share the political and religious views of some of the
members of the Slackware team such as Patrick Volkerding and Alien
BOB, I do appreciate their invaluable work to the FOSS and Linux
community and commend them for their dedication toward their
Slackware product!
I'm currently working on spending more time in the small Internet
(a.k.a. "smolnet") and less time on Facebook and other social
media, and so far it has been a lot of fun. I've also recently
begun using the "iris" message board on the ctrl-c.club server
and have had fun reading and replying to some of the posts there
and I'm planning on learning how to create a gopher hole in the
near future.
