**2020-08-14**
After day 1, where i just logged in the first time,
day 2 was about doing, researching and trying out stuff
## finger and bash
- Used *finger* mores than 15 years ago, so read about *finger*,
and finger specific files like `~/.plan` and `~/.project`.
- Changed shell to bash via `chsh` and btw set real name and location:
```
#Changing user database information for fl3a.
Shell: /usr/pkg/bin/bash
Full Name: Florian Latzel
Location: Planet Earth
Office Phone:
Home Phone:
```
## my gopherspace
Played with my gopherspace, as you see here ;-D
and got in touch with *Geomyidae Gopher Server*
i like the minimalistic approach very much!
## Thoughs and next step
- perhaps a cgi script, which add a menu to every page?
- Adding .dotfiles and think about its deployment
- Say hallo in irc + get in touch with tildeverse
- Continue learning gopher + building my gopherhole
- Learn more about cli mail clients, especially mutt and alpine
- Learn about to fetch mail with thunderbird
## thx!
Thx Carsten!
I read his article about envs.net, this was my motivation to request
for an account at a *tildeverse pubnix server*.
### Why tilde.pink?
Because i know not much about *real UNIXES* like \*BSD and a Linux system
might be to familiar.
I know Linux quite well and this host might be a way about leave my comfort
zone, to (re-)learn, do, experience and share...
A NetBSB, just ssh and gopher and gemini services,
no http(s) or anything else ;-D
## Remarks
You might notice, i like markdown, especially kramdown.
It like it, and i think it is very good readable
(my blog runs on jekyll).
