CALL OF DUTY: GHOSTS DETAILS (Escapist News Now) |

The game was announced just a few weeks ago after |
|
numerous leaks, and was shown to the public for the first |
|
time today at the Xbox unveiling event. Infinity Ward |
|
wanted to stress the improvements the new engine allowed |
|
them to make from detailing in animation to customization |
|
in multiplayer. |
|
|
|
While they weren't completely pulling the current back, |
|
they did mention that the game will feature Ghosts who |
|
are a super elite fighting force and the narrative will |
|
open with a mass event. This mass event is described as |
|
some sort of attack that will cripple America. Infinity |
|
Ward also showed off one of your new teammates. |
|
|
|
It's Man's Best Friend! Yes canine units will play an |
|
important role in your squad throughout the campaign. |
|
Even though dogs have appeared in Call of Duty before, |
|
these pups are inspired by the dogs used by Navy Seal |
|
teams and will help you with various tasks to help you |
|
take down your enemies. |
|
|
|
The new engine will help developers create new levels of |
|
animation detail in everything, like your character's |
|
hands and the dirt beneath his fingernails, scars, and |
|
wounds. Weapons will have more polish as well such as |
|
highlighting parts like screws, grips, and other |
|
textures. There will be dynamic maps with player driven |
|
actions and more customization options than ever before |
|
including customizable headwear and other gear in |
|
multiplayer. |
