This video was digitized from a video tape that was |

assembled (probably during the Ellendale Centennial |
|
Celebration of 1892), from |
|
clips of film that appear to have been taken between the |
|
late 1930s and the mid |
|
1950s. It shows most of the buildings on |
|
the campus, has scenes of students walking between |
|
buildings, and shows scenes |
|
from a homecoming parade and a football game. It also |
|
shows scenes from inside |
|
a chemistry lab and manual arts shop. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The State Normal and Industrial School at Ellendale |
|
operated |
|
between 1899 and 1971, and was replaced by Trinity Bible |
|
Institute after being |
|
closed by the state legislature subject to a crippling |
|
January 1970 fire that |
|
destroyed the two central buildings on campus. |
|
|
|
