Hi guys, |
|

|
These are Dualie wheels for an SCX10 style crawler. |
|
Nothing fancy, just wanted to try it out. They do seem to |
|
make for some serious traction. The tires are the super |
|
cheap Injora Super Swampers. |
|
|
|
- I included two offsets because I'm not sure that the |
|
deep offset version (18mm) will work on portal axles. |
|
- I ended up not using the spacer because I made a boo |
|
boo on the first version I made. |
|
- The installed version in the pics uses some long 3/16" |
|
(4.75mm) screws because I had them kicking around. |
|
- They stick out because I haven't gotten around to |
|
cutting them down yet. Bottom line, you can use the |
|
spacer or just run through some long screws. |
|
- I made the holes small (1.5mm) so it's easy to drill |
|
them out or mode the STL files with bigger holes. |
|
- I printed the wheels out of TPU for durability and |
|
haven't had any trouble yet. I thought the hexes might |
|
not hold up but I've tried some fairly harsh maneuvers |
|
with no trouble. |
|
- I used metal lock rings because I had them kicking |
|
around but I have used plastic ones before without any |
|
trouble. |
