Front bulkhead (2530) for a variety of different Traxxas |
|
vehicles (Bandit, Slash, Stampede, Rustler, SRT). |

I have fit this up and confirmed it to be compatible |
|
(dimensionally) with the original SRT double deck |
|
chassis. Arms have been confirmed to be compatible with |
|
all versions; but I have not mounted it up to the |
|
different plastic chassis or with the plastic shock tower |
|
(I confirmed the fiberglass/graphite versions). |
|

|
I did not lighten the bulkhead and completely duplicate |
|
the original bulkhead because these vehicles generally |
|
tend to benefit from some additional weight in the front |
|
end. It could easily be modified to reduce weight and/or |
|
it could be printed at a lower infill setting. |
|
|
|
Tap the shock tower mounting holes with a M3 tap. Tap the |
|
bumper, upper deck, and lower chassis mounting holes with |
|
a M4 tap. Ream the hinge pins with a 1/8 drill bit (you |
|
can start with a 3 mm drill bit if there are concerns). |
|
This is designed based on my printers tolerances, so hole |
|
sizes may need to be adjusted depending on how accurate |
|
your printer is. There are several of these already out |
|
here on Thingiverse - so by all means find the one that |
|
you like best. |
