Update 10/10/18:
Added modified version where the engines go at a 45
straight in the the center, rather than back to a 0
degree angle. This makes it easier to print standing.
Are you ready for takeoff!?!?!
Alright, honestly, I have not tested this thing, so I'm
unaware of it working or not. I wanted to design a mentos
rocket that when you drop the mentos in then it takes
off! ZOOM!
Print in PLA or ABS should be fine. Make sure to put
supports on the base, but not in the tubes because you
want those clear and clean. The diameter should be
significant enough to get good flow through.
The small release pin hole (which on the renders is
higher, it has been moved lower to maximize capacity of
Mentos (TM) ) is to place a needle or something thin
thru. I made the holes very small because I don't want my
pressure to escape that way, and it will! Be prepared for
soda to spray out that way also. You might also want to
tie a string to this thing, because it won't be like a
grenade when you have a few seconds before explosion, it
will be in your face instant.
Warning: Any item flying through time and space is
dangerous.
DO NOT DO THIS WITHOUT PARENTAL SUPERVISION. DO NOT DO
THIS UNLESS YOU ARE A TRAINED PROFESSIONAL IN A SAFE
ENVIRONMENT. I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR WHAT YOU DO
WITH THIS DESIGN. I CANNOT CAPITALIZE ALL OF THIS ANY
MORE THAN IT IS, I'M YELLING AT YOU.
