40 deg GoPro Session mount (NinjaFlex TPE), top plate
(ABS), and angled shock resistant antenna mount (TPU).
All these parts were designed to work together to make ur
HMB-X5 more durable and serviceable.
The GoPro mount is 40deg and is secured to the top plate
with M3 bolts and lock nuts on the underside. It's very
secure, have yet to eject a GoPro using this solution
after about 6 months, use a high quality strap to keep
your GoPro on the mount.
The top plate is 2.5mm thick ABS, it includes the
standard stand off holes, the custom holes that fit the
GoPro mount, and convenient slots for mounting your
control antennas using zip ties and heat shrink. Again, I
have yet to break one, I've been using it for about 3
months. | |
The antenna mount is made from semi-flexible SainSmart
TPU. I've soldered a straight SMA on an extra long cable
to my VTX so that there is some slack. In the event of a
crash, the mount flexes and the coax feed line is free to
move inside the frame. Your VTX, your top plate, your
antenna, and your SMA connector are all spared, the mount
just bounces right back to its original position. I
recommend stiffening up your antennas with some heat
shrink. | |
