I was inspired by the original design by |
|
[TanyaAkinora](http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1941167), |
|
a lamp in the style of Kumiko Shoji. So please read her |
|
original project description for more information about |
|
this style of Japanese architecture. |
|
|
|
**Summary of the changes I have made to the design are:** |
|
|
|
- I changed the design of the base and uprights from a |
|
Modula design to a unified-body design. This improved the |
|
strength & rigidity of the Lamp. |
|
|
|
- I then increased the size of the Lamp by increasing |
|
it's dimensions from 100x100x100 to 195x195x195mm. |
|
|
|
- 11 new Panel pattern designs, I also included the |
|
original Panel pattern design by |
|
[TanyaAkinora](http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1941167), |
|
resized so it works with my new design. |
|
|
|
- The interchangeable Panels design allows for easy |
|
installation and removal of the Panels. This makes it |
|
easy to change the Panels to a new pattern in the future. |
|
|
|
- I replaced the candle with a safer USB LED light with |
|
dimmer control. This LED light can be powered from any |
|
standard USB charger plug, Battery pack or a device with |
|
a USB port. |
