Lockheed Sea Shadow (1517175)

Web page
The Sea Shadow (IX-529) was an experimental stealth ship
built in 1984 by Lockheed for the United States Navy to
determine how a low radar profile might be achieved and
to test high stability hull configurations which have
been used in oceanographic ships. The Sea Shadow was
revealed to the public in 1993 and unfortunately was
scrapped in 2012.
This model of the Sea Shadow excludes the bulky pontoone
twin hulls that supported the ship beneath the water -
they just don't look so cool.
