An active cooling solution for printed filament of both |
|
printer heads of R2X. It reduces curling of corners and |
|
smaller parts on ABS prints. |
|
|
|
The fan is powered by external USB power supply, like a |
|
USB phone charger, or powered USB port on computer. I |
|
decided to go with an external power source, so I don't |
|
have to monkey with the R2X electronic. |
|
|
|
With this design, when installed properly, it will clear |
|
all internal R2X parts within the normal range of travel. |
|
|
|
The two photos with the red sphere printed in MBI PLA |
|
shows the difference in result between with and without |
|
active cooling for PLA printing. |
