Definition of Wisdom |

|
|
|
Wisdom is the absolute never changing knowledge of God. |
|
It existed |
|
before anything else and has remained pure. It grows in a |
|
person s life with |
|
faithfulness leading to spiritual gifts. It opposes |
|
foolish behavior and |
|
beliefs, and encourages virtuous living and a close |
|
relationship with God. Wisdom |
|
and grace are both manifold having parts that make them |
|
complex. Truth and |
|
grace combine to make wisdom. Wisdom is personified as a |
|
woman in the Old |
|
Testament and is personified again in the New Testament |
|
in the person of Jesus. |
|
|

|

|
|
When I was a |
|
young Bible student, my grandfather taught me that wisdom |
|
is very important. He |
|
set me on a path to explore in the Bible, eventually |
|
leading to materials I put |
|
together in a book entitled Wisdom and Beyond. This audio |
