This holiday season, we feature the Dickens classic "A |
|
Christmas Carol" starring Basil Rathbone as Ebeneezer |
|
Scrooge. The recording of this classic radio play was |
|
made in 1942. |
|
|
|
In between segments of the performance, we'll listen to |
|
how Nashville, TN is addressing many of the same problems |
|
that Charles Dickens wrote about in his immortal novella. |
|
This includes the lack of education, food, and |
|
homelessness. |
|
|
|
We'll hear a song from Nashville singer/songwriter Les |
|
Kerr, about a special newspaper sold by the homeless that |
|
not only tells about their plight, but can be used has |
|
holiday wrapping paper as well. |
