Recall Candidate Kathleen Vinehout on Reproductive Rights |

The date hasn't even been set but the race for which |
|
Democrat will run against Governor Walker in a likely |
|
recall election is already heating up. Senator Kathleen |
|
Vinehout says her record is being manipulated by some who |
|
think she's not pro-choice enough to be the democratic |
|
candidate. Pro-Choice advocates objected to an amendment |
|
added by Senator Vinehout to the Birth Control Protection |
|
Act which allowed pharmacists to refuse to provide |
|
contraceptives as long as patient weren't denied access. |
|
That bill failed in 2008 but Vinehout says it passed a |
|
year later with her amendment in place. She says it was |
|
never about restricting access to birth control but added |
|
only to make the law constitutional. |
