The Planning and Zoning Board is an advisory body to the |
|
Town Council and deals with land use, zoning and |
|
development issues. In addition to attending monthly |
|
Planning and Zoning Board meetings, these board members |
|
are also expected to attend public hearings on plans, |
|
rezonings, and ordinance amendments held jointly with the |
|
Town Council. The board consists of 9 members appointed |
|
by the Town Council, one of whom the Town Council |
|
designates as chairperson. Eight members are appointed |
|
from within Cary's corporate limits and 1 member is |
|
appointed from the Town's extraterritorial jurisdiction. |
|
All appointments to the board are for three-year terms, |
|
except where unexpired terms are being filled. The |
|
