At Lowell Observatory, precision photoelectric photometry |
|
was directed toward the study of solar variability and |
|
the variability of sun-like stars beginning in 1949 and |
|
continuing until now. The ubiquity and range of low-level |
|
variability, including some that appears to be cyclic, |
|
among solar-type stars shows that recent solar |
|
variability may be unusual only in its present restraint. |
