While our world relies more and more on technology, the |

people who make things by hand are having a sort of quiet |
|
renaissance. Many of them are putting their craftwork |

through a spiritual prism and reaping physical and mental |
|
benefits in the process. Our guest on this show says you |

can literally "craft the crazy away" through beading and |
|
crocheting, candle-making, and collaging. Reverend Maggie |
|
Oman Shannon is an interfaith minister, spiritual |
|
director, workshop and retreat facilitator, and author. |
|
She's also the founder of New Story, a coaching and |
|
consulting business that centers on helping people create |
|
deeper meaning in their lives. She's written a book |
|
called Crafting Calm: Projects and Practices for |
|
Creativity and Contemplation, which focuses on the |
|
spiritual journey of creation. |
