On our last episode of Labor Express Radio I brought you |
|
a special May Day edition complete with some May Day |
|
music. What I was not able to bring you that day however |
|
was audio from the actually May Day march in Chicago as |
|
it was wrapping up shortly before our program aired. So I |
|
will make up for that tonight. On tonight s program I |
|
will bring you the voices of those that participated in |
|
the 2016 May Day celebration here in Chicago. I will |
|
include audio from both the Chicago labor movements |
|
official commemoration at the Haymarket monument in |
|
downtown Chicago, as well as the 10th annual march for |
|
immigrant workers rights from Union park west of downtown |
|
Chicago into the city center and wrapping up this year |
|
within shouting distance of the Trump hotel near Chicago |
|
s magnificent mile. |
