Evaluations are presented of recently produced media |
|
products designed for use in schools. The materials are |
|
grouped in three main categories--films, filmstrips and |
|
others, including kits, charts, tapes, filmloops and |
|
slides. Within categories, the products are arranged by |
|
the following subject matters: man as an individual, man |
|
as a social creature, human communication, man in the |
|
universe, technology, the arts, history, geography, |
|
languages, and fiction. Each product which is cited is |
|
accompanied by an extensive annotation. This includes a |
|
summary of the product's content and information relating |
|
to the type of media it represents, its title, producer, |
|
copyright date, source, length, cost, grade level, |
|
subject area and whether it is in color and has sound. In |
|
addition, each annotation contains an evaluation of the |
|
product made by a reviewer and a recommendation on |
|
whether or not the material should be obtained for school |
|
