This publication describes a program at the University of |
|
New Hampshire called Life Studies. The Life Studies |
|
program is designed for freshman and sophomore students |
|
and was begun because of complaints voiced about lack of |
|
relevance in the freshman and sophomore curricula. The |
|
program is interdisciplinary in nature and is |
|
specifically designed to be taught within a loose |
|
structure. The main classes are workshops and seminars |
|
where students and teachers alike are present to learn. |
|
Life Studies intends to be a community of teachers and |
|
students who care about one another and who care about |
|
fostering the delicate process of learning. (HS) |
