DTIC ADC003096: Interpretation Facility for Synthetic Aperture Radar |

NRL has developed a mini-computer based facility for |
|
collecting, processing, and displaying synthetic aperture |
|
radar (SAR) data and imagery. Data collection equipment |
|
includes an airborne wideband digital tape recorder for |
|
collecting raw SAR data and a dual-mode digitizing |
|
photometer/densitometer for digiting film-recorded data. |
|
Raw SAR data may be processed into imagery either with an |
|
optical correlator or with a digital computer. Image |
|
manipulation is under interactive control. Working |
|
imagery is displayed with a computer controlled pseudo- |
|
color TV display system. |
