This report summarizes work performed on the use of |
|
stimulated Brillouin scattering for phase conjugation and |
|
beam combination. The mutual coherence between two |
|
stimulated Brillouin signals produced by two, partially |
|
overlapped pumped beams is studied both experimentally |
|
and theoretically. In addition, the transient buildup of |
|
a phase conjugate Stokes beam is described using a zero- |
|
order numerical solution to the governing equations. |
