Debriefing is a group-oriented intervention in which the
major elements of an event are reviewed by the
participants shortly after its termination. Debriefing
has been recommended by several authors as a stress
management technique suitable for groups which have been
exposed to traumatic events. Although debriefing is
intuitively considered helpful, its beneficial effects
