This report provides a sand bypassing feasibility |
|
analysis for the St. Mary's River entrance channel. The |
|
study was conducted in connection with the development of |
|
the US Navy's Trident submarine base in King's Bay, GA. |
|
The analysis found that sand bypassing would not provide |
|
a significant reduction in the total amount of |
|
maintenance dredging required in the entrance channel, |
|
but could provide for the a cost-effective means of |
|
dredging disposal and beach nourishment. |
