celebrates Electra Havemeyer Webb s collection of |

collections, now comprised of hundreds of thousands of |
|
American folk art pieces filling 37 buildings of the |
|
world-renowned Shelburne Museum in Vermont. The film, |
|
narrated by Ann Sothern and hosted by John Wilmerding, |
|
provides a kaleidoscopic glimpse of objects, from |
|
whimsical whirligigs to a 900-ton side-wheeler, the |
|
Ticonderoga. It pays tribute to a pioneering collector |
|
who taught us to appreciate ordinary objects made by |
|
ordinary people. |
