au dac - The | |
willingness to take bold risks. synonyms: boldness,
daring, fearlessness,
intrepidity, bravery, courage, heroism, pluck, grit;
Proverbs 28:1 says that The wicked flee though no one
pursues, but the righteous are as bold as lions.
Moses prayed for a Sea to open and it did
Jesus prayed for Lazarus to be brought back from the dead,
and he was | |
Elijah prayed for fire to come from heaven, and it came
down | |
And Joseph prayed for the sun to stand still and his
prayer | |
was answered. | |
These were big, hairy, audacious prayers.
These prayers took guts
These prayers were so gutsy and fantastic and outlandish
that they could not have been born in the minds of men,
but from the heart of | |
God. | |
God is looking for some bold prayers to be prayed again.
Today is not about a lesson on how to pray.
Today is about getting people to stop long enough to hear
God call us to pray the ridiculous.
I Corinthians 1:27 reminds us that God has chosen the
foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God
has chosen the weak | |
things of the world to confound the things which are
mighty | |
Bold prayers honor God, and God honors bold prayers.
God is not offended by your biggest dreams or boldest
prayers. He is offended by anything
less. If your prayers aren t impossible
to you, they are insulting to God.
The audaciousness of your prayers are directly related to
the size of your world. | |
If your world is small, all your prayers will surround you
and what you can see. | |
If your world is LARGE, your prayers get bigger and bolder
and life changing for others.
YOU | |
MUST KNOW GOD | |
To get to the place to pray these type of prayers, you
must | |
know God. | |
In Genesis 18:14 God askes Abraham, Is there anything too
hard for the Lord? | |
Matthew 19:26 and Luke 1:37 remind us that nothing is
impossible for Him. | |
Your prayers are only as strong as the one to whom you
praying. | |
Either God can or He can | |
Either He will, or he won t
We can get into timing, and seasons and God saying at
some other time, but what we are dealing with right now
is God s ability. | |
If we don t know Him, we won t pray.
This knowing is not casual
It s an intimate knowledge of His ability, his heart, his
strength. | |
In my house, if I need help with something heavy, I won t
call Suzy, I ll call Chris.
If I want to hear a beautiful movement played on a flute,
I | |
won t call Chris, I ll listen to my Suzy.
If you are in need, you call to the one that you know will
more than meet that need
Our confidence in prayer only increases with our knowledge
of God s ability to do anything.
In | |
knowing God you must give Him control
People naturally fear what they cannot control
In the supernatural, it s not about what you can control,
it s about what you can let go of and let God do in our
lives. | |
Not letting God be God is all about fear
The fear of believing and what you are believing for not
coming about. | |
But you must remember that it is your job to believe and
it s God s job to do. | |
You must dispel fear and grab a hold of faith
You must dispel fear and believe in a God of the
impossible. | |
You must dispel what you don t understand
You | |
can t believe for the impossible with your mind, but with
your spirit. | |
Not everything can be understood, and in that moment you
must believe!! Mary how can this be so?
Mary in Luke 1 still didn t understand, but she eventually
responded, I am the Lord s servant, May your word to me
be fulfilled. | |
She reacted initially with her mind, but then responded
with her spirit. | |
The only way to respond to God is through the Spirit.
How are you approaching God: the flesh, the mind or your
spirit? | |
What are you believing for?
God brought down the walls of Jericho, not Joshua. God
split the Red Sea, and fed Israel in the wilderness for
40 years, not Moses. | |
God filled the widow woman's kitchen cupboard's everyday
for the rest of her | |
life and raised her son from the dead, not Elijah. So
while I may be in the | |
middle of God's plan to do something spectacular and
miraculous, my hope rests
in His abilities, not in me getting it just right. He
works in spite of my | |
inadequacies, my shortcomings, and my failures. He just
asks me to be available | |
and to give him the credit. Some of you are carrying a
sense of responsibility
for the miracle that is God's alone to deliver. Trust and
obey, for there's no | |
other way. (Glenn Burris)
What is your BHAP?? | |
It s time for the ridiculous!!!!
