As the deadline for DACA recipients to renew their status
passes Donald Trump issues a wishlist of hardline demands
on immigration, turning the dreams of immigrants into
more of a nightmare. On today's show we'll turn to
Chicano Studies professor, Roberto Flores for more. Then,
as stories about filmmaker Harvey Weinstein's sexual
assaults snowball, my guest Jane Piper will dig into the
question of how a repeat sex offender could get away with
his crimes for decades and retain his status and power.
Finally, in the wake of the worst wildfires in Northern
California's recent history, we'll examine how climate
change impacts communities of color hardest and how some
groups are fighting for a just transition to a clean
energy economy. My guest Denise Fairchild will discuss
the new book she has co-edited, Energy Democracy:
Advancing Equity in Clean Energy Solutions.
