The sermon is on the last two trials of Jesus where Pilot |
|
tried three times to release Jesus as he determined that |
|
Jesus did nothing wrong and was certainly not guilty of |
|
doing anything worthy of death. This was all part of |
|
God's plan as Jesus had to be 'lifted up' as a sacrifice |
|
to God (Son of Man) for the forgiveness of sins for the |
|
whole world. Everything in this half-chapter speaks to |
|
God's great gift to us- He took the punishment for our |
|
sins and was guiltless. What a Savior! Next week will |
|
will study His death and burial. |
